Christmas With Jasmine

Image
12 days to go!!!! How does it go from “too early to think about Christmas” to “bloomin’ heck it’s just around the corner!” in a heartbeat?! Check out how I’ve prepped for this party season and the big day itself. In the run-up to Christmas 2019 I’ve created a brand new recipe for the Christmas table: a colourful roasted sweet potato wreath decorated with rosemary and cranberries that makes an impressive centrepiece, tastes amazing and is so versatile — just pop your favourite festive filling in the middle! I’ve also gathered together the rest of my celebration recipes here if you need a little inspiration. I’ll be serving the stuffed sweet potato wreath with pickled red cabbage, toasted hazelnuts and griddled apple for a delicious balance of tastes and extra crunch. I’m also getting down with some bake-off therapy and gifting delicious little baked bites in ribboned jars to friends as an eco gift that I know will go down a treat! I’ve got two new festive recipes, one for all-t...

Jasmine’s Simple Soups to Warm The Soul

Image
Oh the weather outside is frightful… But what that does mean is that we get to cosy up in our blankets and slippers with loved ones, and connect with one another around a lovely warming home-cooked dish. What better way to warm up and nurture your digestion than with a good ol’ bowl of soup? Sounds romantic, even fairytale-like in the daily rush of life, but honestly nothing’s easier than a one-pot dish to feed a crowd. Say hello to the favourites that I rely on at this time of year — there’s certainly something for everyone! Cumin Beetroot Soup A ruby red soup I discovered at the COMO Metropolitan Hotel on Park Lane and to which I added cinnamon (by mistake, but it works!!!), this one is a winter warmer if there ever was one, thanks to the earthy beets and fire-starting spices. Winter Sunset Soup With Ginger, Cumin and Rosemary This soup is amazing in the run-up to Christmas, and endlessly adaptable with all the bits you’ve got in the fridge. Super Supper Mung Dal Soup Mung ...
