Melissa’s Soup Toppings you’ll love

As a self-confessed soup lover, I am always looking for ways to add extra flavour, crunch and excitement to my soup. So here are 5 ways you can spruce up yours: 1. Halloumi Croutons:   not technically “croutons” as there’s no bread involved but these are delicious cubes of crispy fried halloumi. Simply chop, fry in a little butter or oil & cook to your desired crispiness.  Get the recipe. 2. Make a fridge raid herby drizzle:  Whizz up any herbs or left over salad leaves you’ve got that need some love with some olive oil, vinegar or lemon juice & a little salt in a blender & drizzle on.  Try this recipe. 3. Roast some veggies:  Depending on what soup you’re making, you might like to roast a little of what you’re using for ultimate texture & flavour on top. I love roasting kale or any discarded cauliflower leaves for extra crunch.  Try this. 4. A drizzle of olive oil/yoghurt/kefir:  I love adding extra swirls to my soups and particularly

We’re Taking Part In The UK’s ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ Scheme

Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve seen the hospitality sector struggle more than we could have ever imagined. Having had to close the doors to our Hemsley Cafe along with the rest of Selfridges was incredibly hard. Now we’re back open, we want to do everything we can to make sure everyone who visits the cafe feels safe, relaxed and enjoys the experience as much as their food! We’re proud to say that Selfridges are leading the way across the board with their commitment to creating and maintaining a safe environment for customers to enjoy their visit in-store and at our cafe as well as the other eateries within Selfridges.

You’ll notice the cafe has been rejigged in line with the new regulations too, so we are operating with a reduced capacity. We’d advise booking ahead to avoid disappointment – just give us a ring on 020 7318 3170 or book online here.

Now that the oven is back on and the fresh veggies have been stocked up, we have all hands on deck and the kitchen is officially open again! We have some of your favourites back on the menu, such as the Hemsley Salad Trio, Moroccan Chicken Stew and, of course, our signature Paradise Bars. We’ve also added some beautiful new summery additions like the Summer Green Bowl with crispy chickpeas and a mustard dressing.

We’re thrilled to be taking part in the UK government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Anyone who eats in with us at Hemsley Selfridges will receive a 50% discount, up to a maximum of £10 per person, on food and non-alcoholic drinks. This offer is available every Monday to Wednesday throughout August. You don’t need to show a voucher (the discount will simply be applied to your bill) and you can take full advantage of the offer as many times as you like during the month of August!

So come along and cool down with an iced Pep-Up Tea and some Hemsley grub – all at half price. We’re so looking forward to seeing you over the coming weeks!

Hemsley Selfridges is open:
Monday to Saturday 11am to 7pm
Sunday 12pm to 5pm
