Hello, Melissa here! Please say hello to my new cookbook… FEEL GOOD :  100 quick and easy recipes to bring a bit of comfort and joy into our kitchens and beyond. Coming 2nd June 2022! FEEL GOOD  is all about exploring how food and cooking makes us feel. Comforted, connected, energised, calmer, grounded, satisfied and soothed and more. More and more of us are cooking with both our mental and physical health in mind. So these are my favourite recipes that help me feel supported. Recipes that I turn to when I’m low on energy and want to feel brighter. Recipes that are so easy that they are a joy to cook and make me feel more confident. Food that helps me feel calmer and more grounded and big sharing recipes for when friends come over and I want to spoil them and show them love but also I want to

Having a BBQ? Jasmine’s Best Recipes for Grilling

In anticipation of National BBQ Week, which starts in just over a week’s time on the 25th of May, and in a bid to spend as much time outside as possible, here are some of my favourite recipes for a barbecue party — whether for one person, 2 or more! Even if you’re just cooking up these recipes using an oven grill, griddle or regular pan, I’m sure you’ll agree that summer vibes are always welcome. Here are some recipes that have become firm favourites over on jasminehemsley.com.

BBQ Basted Veggies With Almond Aioli

A recipe that can easily be made vegan by substituting your fav cooking oil for the ghee, and that works with whatever veggies need using up in the fridge.

Pickled Red Cabbage With Hazelnuts and Griddled Apple

This recipe says to griddle the apples on a pan, but you can just as well do them on the barbecue for an extra special touch. Plus this makes a wonderful crunchy and tangy side to richer dishes.

Black Rice BBQ Salad

A lovely filling salad that works as a main or as a side, tossed lovingly with BBQ-grilled asparagus and celery.

Orange and Olive Oil Asparagus

We may not be able to travel to the Mediterranean this year, but we can definitely pretend in our backyards! This asparagus recipe was inspired by Nick’s and my trip to Greece for “yoga school” last year.

The ‘Ooh Yeah’ Noodle Stir-Fry Salad

This isn’t strictly a BBQ recipe in that you don’t cook it on the barbie, but it’s a great one to have as a side to all your delicious grilled wares.
