Why I love Christmas..

Ahhh.. Christmas, that special time of year where family gathers in remembrance of Christ's birth. The busiest time of year for most. Many take this special day for granted. I would like to help you celebrate with a little  knowledge from so many years ago.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

"For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;"
(Isaiah 9:6)

Christmas is my favorite time of year. The time I get to spend time with my wonderful children. My children and I have a tradition every year to where on December 24th. I let each of my children open one present. We will sit down drinking hot coco while watching our favorite Christmas movie. I'd say 'How the Grinch stole Christmas' is personally one of my favorites its always a must see every Christmas season.

On Christmas day, my children and I would wake up early just to open presents. We would have Christmas dinner with family.

The start of Christmas day is waking up early with my children to sit around the Christmas  tree opening gifts and making memories because children don't stay little forever. Then have breakfast and listen to Christmas music because its joyful and peaceful. Then gather the family together to enjoy Christmas dinner make a life time full of memories and laughter. After its all said and done we would wind down and watch Christmas movies drinking hot chocolate before bed. My family and friends are what really matters to me during the holiday season, and of course our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

So everyone reading this be grateful for what you have. Give thanks to the man who died on the cross for our sins. He is the reason for the season.
